Representative of Shizuka Tatsuno Studio Inc. A Japanese native born in 1983. After graduating from Kingston University in London with a Product & Furniture Design degree, she worked in a design studio before founding her own in 2011. With strength in exploring and elevating the hidden potential within things, her focus is on visualizing and creating practical tools, emotional objects, and more. She is involved in design aesthetics, concept development, and product planning for brands and strives to create a simple expression that identifies the 'axis of creating things.’ Her activities transcend conventional frameworks, encompassing various fields centered around product design, including art direction, exhibition space direction, food design, and art production.
A member of the judges of the Good Design Award and the judge of Takaoka Craft Competition, and has received numerous awards, including the ELLE DECOR Japan edition Young Japanese Design Talents award and the Good Design Award.
